CONQUERING YOUR SEXUAL FEARS

Fear is a natural, powerful human emotion. It alerts us to the presence of danger, or the threat of harm whether real or imaginary. A little fear is fine, it prevents you from doing stupid things. However, when it prevents you from experiencing things that can enhance your life and make you a happier and more authentic person, you really need to examine it.

And then kick its ass.

After conquering one of my biggest fears, I was inspired to share this story with you. Because, what seems like a pretty innocuous night in my back yard is actually a stepping stone to enormous change, pride and possibility.

Like everyone else, I’ve dealt with fear in my life. I’ve given away my power. I’ve worried about what people would think of me to the point where I was afraid to share my own story. I’ve been afraid that I might be judged, ostracized or mocked for doing what I’ve always wanted to do.

But I did it anyway.

And you know what? My entire world did not fall apart. In fact, it got better.

Because it doesn’t matter what people think about you — that’s none of your business. Period. And you absolutely cannot live your life in fear of what everyone else thinks. Are total strangers or people you barely care about the ones who get to set the direction of your life? I was afraid to write my memoir because I didn’t want to be judged by this super catty mom at my kid’s school. For years, I actually let one bitter and horrible person derail my life’s work. It finally dawned on me that her opinion of me doesn’t matter. My parents’ opinion of me doesn’t matter. Anyone’s opinion of me doesn’t matter.

Only my opinion of me matters.

There’s a very good chance you are not living your authentic life and pursuing sexual adventure because you are afraid of being judged.

Hospice worker Bronnie Ware, author of the book, The Top Five Regrets Of The Dying: A Life Transformed By The Dearly Departing catalogued the most common regrets expressed to her by people on their death beds.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.

2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

BOOM.

What is preventing you from enjoying a life true to yourself? Why are you allowing fear and people who truly mean nothing to stop you? How can you get past this fear and start living the sex life of your dreams?

In this episode, I share a story of my own fear and how even though I thought I was a boss at eliminating fear, it turns out I wasn’t. However, one night spent sleeping in my back yard changed everything for me.

Hopefully, this episode will inspire you to face your fears…and then conquer them like a motherfucking BOSS!
